About 4 weeks ago i got a BETA invite to ROK. Didn't think much about it, well 2 weeks ago i started playing..
Let me say they have done a WONDERFUL Job of making you feel the OMG factor. The names are the same from EQ (pretty much) locations are similar, tho i wouldn't say they are the same. Mobs got one HUGE upgrade in looks and styles. Like a litte thing to me makes me realize how much they cared bout EQ. To get into Karnors you have to TRAIN mobs (or kill them) it's not going to get other killed in this train, it's just nice to see them at the entry.
They took ALOT of aspects of Vanguard and put it into ROK. i don't know how "open" the forum is so i'll leave it at that.

We've been playing EQ2 consistently since 2005, and the Kunark expansion is definitely a great refresh. Lots of great quests if you like that, tons of "big" zones to explore, and generally I can't complain about anything with the expansion.
Are you still playing? Or did the "new" wear off after a couple of months?
