I saw a couple of places talking about this, and thought I'd grab a snapshot:

Note the same bipedal stance with little arms...even the curled horns on the head are similar.
There were actually several samples of these critters on the site I looked at (Fallen Kingdoms), and the one I included here is purported to be from Linvak...which is a cold place, sort of like Hoth. The others don't look anything like a tauntaun. Pity...
